Tree of Liminality is owned and operated by NewBo City Market's Artist in Residence, Missa Coffman. She’s an interdisciplinary artist who works with text, performance, interactivity, and a variety of 2-dimensional media, including photography, printmaking, and book arts.

Her shop has works on paper for sale, such as handmade mail art postcards, Instax greeting cards, ready to frame prints, poetry, and artist books. It’s also a studio with a new activity each week, be it a demonstration, performance, or other new experience.

Pay-what-you-can typewriter poems are now happening each weekend at her shop. You can request a poem on a topic of your choice, take a stroll around the market, and return for one that was just written for you on one of her vintage typewriters.
