The Cedar Rapids Bank & Trust Stage
With the upcoming second-level expansion, all indoor events will be moving upstairs! This enhanced space will feature the CRBT Stage — a specially designed acoustic performance area and indoor stage generously sponsored by Cedar Rapids Bank & Trust. Additional funding from the National Endowment for the Arts has supported the creation of visually stunning acoustic treatments for the walls and ceiling. We can’t wait to celebrate the arts with year-round indoor performances!

Delta Dental of Iowa Foundation Therapy Clinic
The Delta Dental of Iowa Therapy Clinic will be home to the Market’s first resident therapist, offering mental health services to the community right from the comfort of NewBo City Market. Thanks to the Delta Dental Foundation, this therapist will also provide free mental health services to Market Shopkeepers and staff. Additionally, the clinic will host Mount Mercy University students enrolled in the Master of Arts in Marriage & Family Therapy program, who will offer low-cost therapy services and free mental health programming for the public.

The ImOn Recording Studio
The ImOn Recording Studio is purpose-built for digital entrepreneurship, with a focus on audio content creation. It features advanced recording equipment, soundproofing, and acoustics optimized for high-quality production. With its comfortable, professional setup, entrepreneurs can efficiently create engaging, polished audio content — helping them expand their reach and impact in the digital space.

The Aegon Transamerica Foundation Co-Working Space
The Aegon Transamerica Foundation Co-Working Space offers a collaborative environment where individuals from across the community can come to work at the Market. Designed to spark creativity and connection, this flexible workspace sits in the heart of our neighborhood, supporting both professionals and entrepreneurs. With access to all the Market’s amenities, it’s a vibrant hub for productivity and innovation in a dynamic local setting.

A New Culinary & Processing Kitchen
In the past, our kitchen space has been a versatile hub for hosting classes, meetings, and events. With the kitchen relocating upstairs, we’re excited to expand our capacity to support local farmers and suppliers. Equipped with state-of-the-art tools funded by the United States Department of Agriculture, this new space will provide producers with improved access to processing and distribution channels — further strengthening our community food system.

The Community Engagement Room
The Community Engagement Room offers expanded space, enhanced amenities, and improved accessibility for public reservations every day of the week. Whether you’re planning a meeting, private event, or any other gathering, our new soundproof boardroom is ready for you. It’s also perfect for booking private chef tastings with Market Shopkeepers and connects seamlessly to the upstairs bar and balcony — ideal for that stylish birthday party you’ve been dreaming of.

NewBo Bar Upstairs
Alongside the renovation and relocation of our downstairs bar, we’re excited to introduce an additional bar on our second level. This new addition is strategically designed to accommodate increased foot traffic and ensure ample refreshment options for our events and visitors. With its convenient location, the upstairs bar will enhance the overall Market experience by providing easy access to drinks during busy gatherings and performances.
A Balcony With a Fresh View of the Market Yard
We’re adding a balcony that overlooks the Market Yard, providing extra seating and a fresh perspective to enjoy the neighborhood’s charm. Imagine sipping a Market Lager while soaking in the sounds of Rock the Block — this balcony is sure to be the best seat in the house. Whether you’re relaxing with friends or catching the live music, it’s the perfect spot to take it all in.
