Market by Moonlight returns to NewBo City Market on Tuesday, September 23! Join us for an unforgettable evening of farm-to-table fare under the stars in the Market Yard. This year’s event features three unique dining paths, each crafted by our talented Market Shopkeepers with fresh, local ingredients.
Heartland Harvest (Americana Menu)
Appetizer: Zuppa Toscana – A comforting soup from Smiley’s Soup and Sandwiches, rich with Italian sausage, tender kale, potatoes, and cream.
Main: Shrimp Etouffee – A classic Louisiana stew from K.C. Cakes and Cajun, featuring shellfish in a rich, thick sauce served over rice.
Dessert: Homemade brownies from K.C. Cakes and Cajun.
Latin Flavors (Central & South America)
Appetizer: Causa Limeña – A cold Peruvian starter from Nechus South American Food, layered with mashed potatoes, chicken, and avocado.
Main: Jerk Chicken with Coconut Rice & Beans and Mango Coleslaw – From Caribbean Kitchen, featuring chicken marinated in a fiery Jamaican spice blend and slow-cooked for maximum flavor.
Dessert: Truffles from Lori Ann’s Truffles.
A Tour of Asia (Vegan)
Appetizer: Pani Puri – From Saatvik Swaad, this Indian street food features crispy hollow puris filled with spiced potatoes, chickpeas, and tangy, spicy mint-tamarind water.
Main: South Indian Dosa – A thin, savory crepe from Saatvik Swaad, served with lentil stew (sambar) and coconut and spicy tomato chutneys.
Dessert: Truffles from Lori Ann’s Truffles.
