The yard squares are returning and so are NewBo City Market's most iconic summer events.
NewBo City Market's family-friendly events are important for the small businesses within the Market and in the surrounding NewBo/Czech Village neighborhood. Each year, they attract thousands of potential customers to support the small local businesses in the area.
We’re bringing back the 99 socially-distant squares in the Market’s yard. Each square is eight-feet by eight-feet, spaced six feet apart and will allow for individuals or families to safely experience the Market. Now, we hope the community utilizes them to enjoy the outdoors and support local businesses.
Rock the Block, Meet Me at the Market and more will return to the Market Yard. While music lovers and fitness gurus will be able to attend these events for free, paid reserved spaces will also be available for those who like to know ahead of time exactly where to plant their lawn chair or yoga mat. This year, you will be able to reserve a space for just the day or for the entire season. Those reservations will open up to the general public in early May, but first pick goes to our Friends of the Market!
